Experience authentic Istrian charm at this beautifully restored traditional stone cottage in Sveti Anton, just 15 minutes from Koper and the Slovenian coast.
Blending historic character with modern comfort, this cosy 1-bedroom cottage accommodates up to 4 guests and is ideal for couples, small families or travellers exploring Slovenian Istria. The semi-detached cottage preserves its original architectural features, including exposed wooden beams, antique details and traditional tiled floors, while offering modern amenities for a comfortable stay. The ground floor welcomes guests into a spacious open-plan living and dining area, where rustic elegance meets contemporary design.
An impressive antique wooden dresser, traditional stone walls and exposed timber create a warm atmosphere for relaxing after a day exploring the coast. The fully equipped kitchen includes a cooker hob, refrigerator with freezer, coffee-making facilities and everything needed for preparing homemade meals. Upstairs, a cosy lounge beneath the wooden beams provides a comfortable place to unwind with a large flat-screen TV and air conditioning.
Just a few steps higher, the open bedroom offers a peaceful retreat with a comfortable double bed. Sleeping Bedroom: The open-plan bedroom, off the sitting room, has a double bed. Extra: The sofa in the first-floor sitting room, converts into a small double bed (140cm wide). Bathroom On the ground floor, the bathroom is fitted with a shower, basin and WC. Additional • Free Wifi • Air conditioning • Digital, high-definition TV • Private parking space – car essential • Pets allowed (dogs up to 25kg) • Smoking permitted Location The cottage is located in the peaceful village of Sveti Anton, surrounded by the rolling hills of Slovenian Istria, only 15 minutes from Koper and the Adriatic coast. Guests can easily explore the medieval streets of Koper, the elegant Titov Square, the Venetian Old Town and the lively waterfront promenade filled with cafés and restaurants. Some of Slovenia's most beautiful beaches are within easy driving distance, including Strunjan Nature Reserve, where crystal-clear waters, dramatic cliffs and scenic coastal walking trails create one of the country's most picturesque seaside destinations. Nature lovers can also visit the spectacular Škocjan Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its underground canyons and remarkable karst formations. The surrounding wine region offers numerous wineries and tasting experiences, including Bordon Wines, only a few minutes from the cottage. The location also provides an excellent base for day trips to Piran, Izola, the Karst region, and even nearby Trieste in Italy. The nearest airport is Trieste Airport (approximately 50 minutes), while Ljubljana Airport can be reached in around 80 minutes.
