Environment description
The Berchtesgadener Land, in the heart of which our guesthouse is located, is one of the most varied and diverse regions in the world. Here, sports enthusiasts and adventurers get their money's worth just as much as nature lovers and relaxation holidaymakers. Families with children love the many activities for their little ones, as do older people the healthy mountain air, the thermal baths and the rich offer of wellness and spa facilities. Hike on well-signposted hiking trails in the Berchtesgaden National Park or take a trip to the Haus der Berge, salt mine, Kehlsteinhaus, Königssee, Ramsau church or Salzburg.
About the host
We, Johanna and Helmut Stutz, purchased the Hinterponholz estate in 1992. We renovated the 600 year old house over 20 years. In addition to the existing rooms we built comfortable vacation apartments. With much love and passion we care for the well-being of our guests with our four children Christian, Andreas, Kathrin and Sofie. Enjoy the family atmosphere in our house. NOT AT HOME, but still AT HOME!
