A charming, detached Beddgelert cottage, set in quiet woodland in an elevated position above the picturesque village of Beddgelert in the Snowdonia National Park.
This Beddgelert cottage is affectionately known as Rupert Bear's Cottage in memory of the author and illustrator of the Rupert Bear stories, who lived there from 1956 to 1986. He gained his inspiration from the local countryside and wrote the Rupert Bear stories from here for many years.
This secluded Beddgelert cottage has two bedrooms, a sitting/dining room, and a well-equipped kitchen area, both with exposed wooden beams.
The gardens and woodland surrounding this Beddgelert holiday home provide peace and tranquillity, yet the cottage is only a 5-minute stroll into the centre of Beddgelert.
There are miles of walking tracks around, some starting from outside the door of this Beddgelert cottage.
Further afield are the beaches of Porthmadog, Italianate Portmeirion, castles at Caernarfon, Conwy and Harlech and the coastline of the Llyn Peninsula.

Tis delightful, single storey cottage is located in quiet woodland, in an elevated position above the village of Beddgelert in the Snowdonia National Park. This cottage, formerly the home of Rupert Bear author and illustrator Alfred Edmeades Bestall, has two cosy bedrooms, a double, and a bunk bedroom with additional pull-out bed, as well as a family bathroom. There is also a kitchen and a sitting room with dining area. Outside, this cottage is surrounded by quiet woodland, and the garden enjoys woodland and mountain views. This quaint cottage is perfect for an enjoyable holiday. . Please note that this property only accepts 7‑night stays; Short breaks may be available on request.

The house is exactly as you would imagine it and the view is priceless. The house has amazing memorabilia from the Rupert Bear era which was a privelege to see for people of our generation. It is a short and pretty walk to the village and everything is dog friendly.

Wonderful stay at Penlan. We stayed last year and enjoyed it so much we came back again. Beautiful cottage and even though we had no complaints last year the new heating system made it even cosier and beautifully warm. Perfect way to get away from everything and a beautiful cottage

Amazing place with stunning views. We had the best time ever. Close to Snowdon and close to amazing beaches.
The house is very well maintained, clean and has everything we needed. I was there with two children 7 and 9 years old. They loved garden and spend massive am out of time outside.
Lovely neighbourhood.
Our Miniature Schnauzer loved his holidays as well.
