This beautiful property is surrounded by many activities, it really is perfect for families or friends, and the beach is just a stone’s throw away.. 2 steps to entrance.

Elm Cottage is located in an area known as the Undercliff, a unique location between the cliff and the sea which provides a micro-climate, an ideal haven for a variety of flora and fauna, many species of which are only found in Mediterranean countries.
This semi-detached holiday home comfortably accommodates up to 6 guests and is pet friendly too.
It can also be potentially booked alongside the owners other property when available, Beech Cottage ref W43496, which is the adjoining property next door and is able to accommodate up to 4 guests.
The spectacular surrounding coastline gives access to beaches and coves such as Woody Bay and Steephill.
The nearest town is Ventnor and still retains its original Victorian seaside charm and makes a great day out for all the family.
Just under two miles away from the property you will find a number of lovely seaside tea shops, pubs and restaurants dotted along the esplanade, including the well-known Spyglass Inn.
There are also some quirky and bespoke shops, park and a children’s paddling pool.
Sea and cliff walks can be found along the coastal paths in both directions from the property, and outdoor pursuits on the island are well catered for and include horse riding, fishing, cycling, paragliding, water sports and golf.
There are numerous attractions to discover for all ages, including The Needles with its chairlift, amusement park, boat rides, lighthouse and coloured sands of Alum Bay.
Alternatively visit Queen Victoria’s favourite holiday residence, Osborne House and its gardens, Blackgang Chine, the oldest themed attraction in the UK, Ventnor Botanical Gardens, Tapnell Farm Park, Carisbrooke Castle or the sailing towns of Yarmouth and Cowes, as well as the popular resorts of Shanklin and Sandown.

Great location, with lovely walks in a well positioned spot. The cottage is big and roomy, bedrooms are nice and comfy and well decorated.
Downstairs is functional but could do with updating a bit, but nothing that would stop us from going back again.
Great position for dog owners.

The cottage was clean and tidy with adequate amenities. The location was off the beaten track and although dog friendly there didn't appear to any obvious walks or toilet areas. The showers were not the most powerful but were functional. Parking was limited and the advertised garden and patio area was not very useful. However, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend the cottage to others.
