Look no further for the meaning of the name of this cottage, it comes from the adjective bèla which in patois means "beautiful" and from the verb gaitar "to watch".
At the foot of the Varennes motte, this gîte is a belvedere on Lake Chambon and the Chaudefour Valley.
If the owner went to look in the local roots to find a name for his lodging, it is because this accommodation is an old farmhouse built at a time when French was not yet the common language.
You will find the testimony of this time in the cut stones which adorn the hearth of the fireplace or in this vaulted cellar accessible from the living room.

You will be ideally installed to enjoy hiking around the lakes, on the sides of the Sancy massif or volcanoes.
The beaches of Lake Chambon and the castle of Murol are less than 5 minutes away.
In winter, snowy landscapes and the possibility of skiing on the slopes of Super-Besse, Chastreix or Mont-Dore less than half an hour away or the old slopes of Chambon des Neiges to indulge yourself in the joys of sledding or skiing hiking.

Merci à Catherine (la prop) qui est super sympa et très accueillante, tjs proche des ses locataire pour tous renseignements. Le gîte est très agréable et spacieux de quoi y passer un superbe séjour à proximité du lac qui en fait un endroit idéal

Gîte très fonctionnel et bien équipé. Très confortable avec une vue superbe. Propriétaire sympathique et accueillante. Petit bémol manque de produits d'entretien, pas de sel de poivre... Des petits détails qui n'ont pas gâchés le séjour. Nous y retournerons....

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour, le gîte est spacieux, confortable, propre, et très bien équipé pour cuisiner. Notre hôte Catherine a été très disponible et accueillante. De nombreuses randonnées au départ de Chambon et de Murol avec son château. Nous recommandons sans hésiter pour visiter une belle région.
