The tiny house manufacturer "Villa to go" offers a model house in Reichenau an der Rax for trial living all over the year. You will experience how it feels to live on just 19m2 in a beautiful remote location and enjoy the impressive panorama of the mountain Rax at the doorstep. The "Villa to go" model house is located on Preiner Gscheid-Straße on the grounds of a former skiing slope. From here you have a breath-taking view on the Preiner Wand, an impressive rock face and its climbing routes. Hiking enthusiasts can start their tour directly at the tiny house or reach other starting points within a few minutes by car or bus. A popular starting point is Preiner Gscheid from where many routes lead you to the mountain top (e.g. to Waxriegelhaus, Karl Ludwig-Haus, Heukuppe). The starting point for the climbing routes on the Preiner Wand (Griesleiten) can also be reached in a few minutes by car. In the mountain village Prein an der Rax you will find two restaurants ("Oberer Eggl" and "Raxalpenhof"). The center of Reichenau offers various stores and bakeries to get your daily needs covered, as well as further restaurants (10 min drive by car). During summertime, culture enthusiasts are offered a diverse entertainment program including the theater festival "Festspiele Reichenau", the "Kultursommer" at Parkhotel Hirschwang as well as the classical music concerts of the International Summer Academy "isa". Be assured there's no room for boredom for those who are looking for entertainment during their stay.
