Vacation in architectural monument combines heritage conservation and tourism.
Historically valuable buildings are taken over, gently renovated and rented out as holiday flats.
The model provides a double benefit: the monuments are given a new future and the holiday guests experience a stay in an exceptional building.
The idea is being realised by the foundation Vacation in architectural monument (FiB), which was founded in 2005 by the Swiss Heritage Society. Car park: There is an outdoor car park right outside the front door between the shed and the house. Public transport: The Blumenhalde house can be reached by S-Bahn line S7 from Zurich or Rapperswil every half hour.
From the railway station it is a 10-minute walk to the house.
A special way to get here is by boat across Lake Zurich, for example from Bürkliplatz in Zurich (once a day). The boat landing stage in Ürikon is right on the doorstep. Number of persons 6: A baby cot (up to 2 years) is available.
The house can accommodate six guests (plus baby). There are three double rooms available.
On the ground floor is the entrance area and a large room with direct access to the garden.
On the first floor there is the kitchen, dining room and living room with a balcony and a toilet, on the second floor there are two double bedrooms and a bathroom and on the top floor there is another double bedroom. Garden: The house has a garden directly bordering Lake Zurich.
The garden of the house leads unsecured to the lake.
The owner declines any liability arising from this fact. WLAN: Is available. Open: The house can be rented all year round. Pets: Pets are not allowed. Altitude: 425 metres above sea level. IMPORTANT ADDITION Blumenhalde is a listed building that has been renovated with great respect for the existing fabric.
The tenant is aware of this and treats the property with care.
Although the technical equipment is up-to-date, certain functional details do not meet current standards and are a potential source of danger.
The tenant is aware of these circumstances.
The owner, e-domizil and the foundation Vacation in architectural monument decline any liability. We would like to politely draw your attention once again to the fact that the Blumenhalde house may only be used for holiday purposes and is designed for six people.
NO PARTIES MAY BE HELD IN THE BLUMENHALDE.
If you are planning a party, you can hire the Ritterhaus Saal or the Hecht Saal in the immediate neighbourhood.
These rooms are specially equipped for parties.
Out of consideration for the neighbours, we ask you to comply with the contractual clause.
